ADEME is the French Agency for Ecological Transition (Agence de la transition écologique), a public institution dedicated to advancing environmental, energy, and sustainable development policies.

Established in 1990 and operating since 1992, the agency works under the joint authority of France’s Ministry for the Environment, Ministry for Energy, and Ministry for Research.
